Visiting Fellow in Workforce

Rachel Greszler is a Visiting Fellow in Workforce at the Economic Policy Innovation Center (EPIC).

Greszler is recognized as an economic expert in workforce, retirement, and fiscal issues. Her articles have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, National Review, The Hill, Fox, CNN, and other outlets. She is regularly called on to testify before Congress, and has done so dozens of times over the past decade.

Greszler’s work focuses on policies that promote economic growth, individual freedom and well-being, and fiscal sanity. Specifically, she researches and writes about: expanding employment opportunities; independent work; women’s issues; the minimum wage; paid family leave and other family-friendly workplace policies; Social Security; disability insurance; pensions; federal employee compensation; and improper federal government payments.

Greszler is also currently Senior Research Fellow in the Plymouth Institute for Free Enterprise at Advancing American Freedom (AAF). Prior to joining AAF in 2025, Greszler was a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation for 12 years and a senior economist on the staff of the Joint Economic Committee of the Congress for seven years.

She completed her graduate studies at Georgetown University, where she earned master’s degrees in both economics and public policy. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Mary Washington, where she currently serves on the Board of Visitors.

Greszler grew up in a small town in Western New York and currently resides in Bethesda, Maryland, with her husband and six children.
